Traditionally, on the eve of the Easter holidays, the children from the "Tsar Simeon the Great" school in the village of Ivanyane near Sofia organised a charity bazaar with handmade souvenirs, sweets and drawings. They raised the sum of 2,709.85 EUR, which, according to their idea and with the support of the school management, will go to help the victims of the fire in Kočani, the Bulgarian Memory Foundation reported.

"We teach children to be good people first and foremost - to believe in goodness, to pursue it and to create it!", the school's head Maria Ivanova said. She pointed out that in previous charity initiatives, the students raised funds for raising guide dogs for blind people, for sports equipment for children with Down Syndrome, etc.
