The Bulgarian Orthodox Church, headed by Patriarch of Bulgaria and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniil and members of the Holy Synod, sent a patriarchal and synodal Easter message to Christian believers.
"May the joy of the news of Christ's Resurrection be with us unchangingly - as the Savior Himself tells us in the Holy Gospel and as His apostles repeatedly tell us: "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I will say: Rejoice... the Lord is near" (Phil. 4:4-5). It congratulates "all the faithful children of our holy Church - within the borders of our Motherland and far from it - on the feast of Christ's Resurrection, with wishes for peace and joy in Christ the Lord, Risen from the dead."
