Weather forecast for 24 April

Warm weather with brief showers in the afternoon.

On Thursday lows will be between 7 and 12°C, 9°C in Sofia. Before noon it will be sunny. Around and after midday, cumulus clouds will develop and there will be brief showers in the western parts of the country. Maximum temperatures will be between 22 and 27°C, around 22°C in the capital.


In the mountains it will be mostly sunny before noon, with clouds developing in the afternoon, especially in the western and central parts of the country. There will be short showers with thunderstorms, more intense in the Western Balkan Mountains and in the massifs of south-western Bulgaria. The maximum temperature will be around 14°C at 1,200 m and around 7°C at 2,000 m. 


The Black Sea coast will be foggy in the morning hours. The fog will clear around noon and visibility will temporarily improve. Maximum air temperatures will be between 14 and 16°C. The water temperature will be 11-12°C. The sea will be calm.


The weather on Friday and Saturday will follow the same pattern, but while the afternoon clouds will be in the eastern half of the country and in the mountains, on Saturday the clouds will cover the whole country. Short showers accompanied by thunder will occur in many places. Lows will be mostly between 5 and 10°C and highs between 19 and 24°C.
