Relatives of people who died in car accidents demand harsher punishments for killers on the road

At a meeting with acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov, relatives of those killed in accidents once again demanded a faster trial and harsher punishments for those convicted.

Parents from the “Angels on the Road” association have discussed with the state prosecutor a possible legal change that would allow the use of traffic data in investigating accidents. He has fully supported the requests of the relatives of the dead children and has committed to examining specific cases if there are suspicions that the investigators are working slowly or poorly.

"All judges, prosecutors and investigating police officers who are clearly not doing their job or covering up a crime - we will not only demand their dismissal when the case is still ongoing, but also their resignations,” said Krasimir Arsov, whose 15-year-old son lost his life on a pedestrian crossing in the center of Sofia.
