BNR now delivers news through an AI avatar

The Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) is successfully integrating artificial intelligence into its programmes. The public radio’s news is now read by an AI avatar trained in Bulgarian, operating in a virtual environment. One year after the public service broadcaster trained an AI to read the news on the BNR’s portal, the innovation now has a face.

In mid-2025, BNR will launch a unique APP experience for its users - an innovative application with 3 branches - news content on bnrnews.bg, music and video experience with Binar and lots of games, stories and songs with the Children's BNR.

The public service broadcaster will also launch four new websites- a news portal, an institutional site, a music site and a site dedicated to children’s content. Each of these will have mobile versions with intuitive selection of content that users want to read, listen to or watch.
