We’ve all heard of ideas that come to artists in their dreams. That’s exactly how the melody for Orlin Pavlov’s new single “Syanka/Shadow” was born — he dreamt it. Afterwards, he turned to brothers Milen Kukosharov and Rosen Kukosharov to bring the song to life. Orlin Pavlov created the arrangement together with Milen — a renowned pianist, arranger and composer. Rosen Kukosharov, known as a singer and songwriter, gave the song its final shape by writing the lyrics.
Here is what Orlin Pavlov said about the emotions and message in “Syanka”:
“A shadow can exist in love, in the relationship between two people — for example, when one completely dominates the other. But love is about mutuality, a shared devotion. Often, the shadow of one love can eclipse the other and suffocate it. That is why mutual devotion in its purest form is the best, so that, whether out of jealousy or some other reason, one love doesn’t end up suffocating or overshadowing the other.”
