Weather forecast for 9 May

Sunny but cooler weather

Friday will be mostly sunny but windy. Cloud cover will increase from the south-west in the afternoon, with rain spreading across most of the country in the evening and continuing overnight. Minimum temperatures will range between 7°C and 12°C, around 8°C in Sofia, while highs will be between 18°C and 23°C, around 19°C in Sofia.


In the mountains, the weather will be sunny with almost no precipitation. In the evening, clouds will increase from the south-southwest and rain will fall. The maximum temperature at 1,200 m will be around 14°C, at 2,000 m around 6°C.


It will be mostly sunny along the Black Sea coast. Maximum temperatures will reach 21°-23°C and 13°-15°C at sea level. The sea swell will be 1-2.


Rain will fall over the Balkan region. There will be an increased chance of significant precipitation in Albania and northern Macedonia. As it gets colder, snow will fall in the Carpathians.
