PM Rosen Zhelyazkov: Ukraine must achieve a just and lasting peace

“Bulgaria has supported Ukraine since the very beginning of the war. We must all do our part to ensure that Ukraine is in the strongest possible position to achieve a just and lasting peace.” This was stated by Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov during the videoconference meeting of the heads of state and government of the so-called Coalition of the Willing for Ukraine, as is clear from his publication on the social network “Ex”.

Meanwhile, Ukraine and the leaders of Great Britain, France, Germany and Poland reached an agreement in Kiev for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire on land, air and sea from May 12 with the support of Donald Trump. If Russia does not agree, the European Union and the United States will impose new large-scale sanctions on it.

In a midnight statement, Vladimir Putin proposed resuming direct negotiations with Ukraine from 2022 without preconditions on May 15 in Istanbul.
