Bulgaria’s Participation in Expo 2025 Osaka will showcase the country’s modern image as a regional innovation hub, said President Rumen Radev at the official ceremony on May 18, which marked Bulgaria Day at EXPO 2025 in Japan.
The national flags of Bulgaria and Japan were hoisted in the National Day Hall to the sound of the national anthems of the two countries. Japan’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs Hisayuki Fujii delivered a greeting in Bulgarian and welcomed the visitors, highlighting the traditionally strong relations between the two countries.
"The longstanding relations of sincere friendship between Bulgaria and Japan are an important priority in Bulgaria’s foreign policy. Over the years, cooperation between the two countries has grown steadily in areas such as the economy, science, education, culture, and exchanges between people'', said President Radev.
Bulgarian music, folk dances and opera performances were featured in a concert held to celebrate Bulgaria Day in Osaka, reported BNR's special correspondent in Japan Mira Stefanova.
