Weather forecast for May 19: Sun in the morning, clouds and showers in the afternoon

On Monday, the lowest temperatures will range between 5°C and 10°C, around 5°C in Sofia. It will be mostly sunny in the morning, but around and after noon, cumulonimbus clouds will begin to form. Short showers are expected mainly in the mountain regions and northern Bulgaria. There will be moderate to temporarily strong northwesterly winds. Maximum temperatures will be between 20°C and 25°C, around 21°C in Sofia.

In the mountains, the weather will be sunny before noon. Cumulonimbus clouds will develop around and after noon. Short rain showers and thunderstorms are expected mainly in the massifs in Western Bulgaria and in the Balkan Mountains. There will be a strong northwesterly wind. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be around 14°C, at 2,000 m around 8°C.

It will be sunny along the Black Sea coast. Cumulonimbus clouds will develop in the afternoon hours, and brief showers are expected in the evening. Daytime highs will be between 20°C and 23°C. The sea water temperature is 14–17°C. Sea state will be 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.

On Tuesday, the air mass over the country will be unstable, and the weather will be changeable. There will be sunny intervals, mainly in the morning. Cumulonimbus clouds will develop in the afternoon, bringing localized brief showers.
