More than 50,000 people have visited the Bulgarian pavilion at the EXPO 2025 Osaka within just one month. The main theme of Expo 2025 Osaka (Japan) is ''Designing Future Society for Our Lives''. The Bulgarian pavilion is built with eco-friendly materials, and after the exhibition every part will be recycled.

"There is huge interest in the Bulgarian pavilion. The queues are huge. The motto of our pavilion is "Evolution with nature". We are not just telling our history, but also the history with Japan, the present, the companies, businesses and technologies we have'', said Boyko Takov, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, in an interview with BNR.

The mascot of Bulgaria’s national pavilion is Lacto-chan. The name combines Lactobacillus bulgaricus and chan, the Japanese word for affection.
