Lyupcho Georgievski, chairman of the cultural club "Ivan Mihaylov" in the town of Bitola, banned by the Macedonian authorities, will stand trial on May 21 at 10:30 a.m. He is accused of quoting Ivan Mihaylov's memoirs on Facebook using literary Bulgarian. According to the prosecution, the publication "incites national and racial hatred and intolerance, as well as the spread of racism and xenophobia through computer networks".

"On May 21 in Bitola, something historic will happen: a man will be tried for quoting... a book. This is not a joke about North Korea - this is North Macedonia, a country that is boldly walking towards Europe, but with boots from 1945". This is what Ilija Stoyanovski writes on the website tribuna.mk regarding the trial.

The civic association "Balkan Bridge" based in Bitola also expressed unreserved support for Lyupcho Georgievski on Facebook and hope that justice will be protected in the court case, and the Macedonian Bulgarian will not be arrested on the absurd charges.
