Weather forecast for 24 May

Expect poor weather over the holiday

On Saturday, powerful cumuliform rain clouds will develop over western and southern Bulgaria, and in many places there will be short-lived and significant rainfall. The eastern regions will experience less intense processes. Maximum temperatures in Sofia will be between 19° and 24°C, at around 18-19°.


Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in the mountains. A moderate, temporarily strong south-westerly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,000 m will be around 18°C, and at 2,000 m it will be around 10°.


Over the Black Sea coast, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will bring short-lived rainfall in some places. Maximum temperatures will be between 20° and 25°C, and sea water temperatures will range from 12° to 16°C.


There will be heavy rain clouds over the Balkans. Expect short, intense showers and thunderstorms. Expect a north-westerly wind picking up, bringing cool air and a drop in temperature.
