The Minister of Tourism, Miroslav Borshosh, met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bulgaria, His Excellency Nathaniel Copsey. They discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in tourism and developing specific initiatives to promote Bulgaria in the UK.

The UK remains one of Bulgaria's key inbound markets. According to data from the National Statistical Institute, nearly 253,000 British tourists were registered in Bulgarian accommodation establishments in 2024, which is a 4.9% increase compared to 2023. However, the market has not yet reached 2019 levels.

There is sustained interest among British tourists in seaside, cultural, city, and winter tourism, with Nessebar, Sofia, Bansko, Borovets, and Varna remaining the leading destinations.
