The Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to Bulgaria Agneza Rusi Popovska has sent a letter of gratitude to the director of the Pirogov Emergency hospital in Sofia Dr. Valentin Dimitrov, expressing gratitude for the rescue of the children and young people seriously injured in the fire at a night club in Kočani, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports.

“The utmost care by your teams, the humane attitude and the professional treatment of the patients during their time of greatest need were crucial for their recovery and safe return home. Your dedication went beyond the bounds of medical care and has been an example of humanity, empathy and friendship. The Macedonian people will always remember the solidarity and selflessness you demonstrated,” Ambassador Agneza Rusi Popovska states.

Eight people injured in the night club fire, caused by sparks from indoor fireworks, were admitted to Pirogov hospital on 16 March this year. The last one of them was discharged on 15 May.
