A Bulgarian delegation led by Minister of Interior Daniel Mitov visited the Technical Investigations Office of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Ministry of Interior announced. Daniel Mitov was introduced to the latest technological capabilities that support effective investigations and could also be used by the Bulgarian police.

Later, the directors of the General Directorate National Police, General Directorate Combating Organized Crime and Border Police — Chief Commissioners Zahari Vaskov, Boyan Raev and Anton Zlatanov — visited the DEA Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia. They familiarized themselves with the training conditions for DEA agents and discussed the possibility of including Bulgarian police officers in the agency’s training programs.
