Vazrazhdane leader Kostadinov sends letters to all presidents and prime ministers of EU member states

Kostadin Kostadinov: We are asking the EU leaders not to allow Bulgaria to be unlawfully admitted into the eurozone

"I have sent letters to all presidents and prime ministers of EU member states, in which I describe the real situation in our country — inflation, the state budget, the attitudes of Bulgarian citizens and the desire for a referendum. We are asking them not to allow Bulgaria to be unlawfully admitted into the eurozone", the leader of Vazrazhdane, Kostadin Kostadinov, said in an interview for BNT.

According to him, it is a bit early to comment on the future of the Bulgarian currency. ''The convergence reports are just one step in the process. Each member state must express its position. There are votes that may seem formal to some, but to us in Vazrazhdane they are not'', Kostadin Kostadinov added.

Until July 8, we must continue working as required in order to become a full member of the euro area as of January 1 next year, National Assembly Speaker Natalia Kiselova told journalists in the town of Bolyarovo.
