There are some foreign employees from EU Member States working in hotels on the northern Black Sea coast, Dimitar Dimitrov, chairman of the structure of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association in Dobrich, told BTA. Most often, they come from Romania, Spain and Germany and work at the receptions because of their language skills.
“The Northern Black Sea Coast has started to wake up, we have more five-star hotels and we offer better quality and high-class service,” Dimitar Dimitrov said. According to him, hotels and complexes are offering increasingly attractive salaries. However, the lack of personnel remains a big problem.
“It is difficult to find qualified labor from Bulgaria,” Dimitar Dimitrov says but remains optimistic about the summer season.
