The Troyan Monastery "Dormition of the Mother of God" will donate relics of the patron saints of the town—St. Paraskeva-Petka and St. Panteleimon the Great Martyr—to the St. Paraskeva Petka Church in Troyan, Archimandrite Stefan, deputy abbot of the Troyan Holy Monastery, told BTA.
The holy relics will be handed over today at the initiative of the abbot of the Troyan Monastery, Bishop Sionius of Velich, and with the blessing of Metropolitan Gavriil of Lovech. The precious gift will remain in the church permanently, serving as a spiritual joy and blessing for the residents and visitors of the town.
The donation marks the 190th anniversary of the construction and consecration of both the monastery's church and the church in Troyan. "They were built in the same year, at the same time, and by the same craftsmen", said Father Stefan.
