There are only a few days left until the start of an anticipated sporting event – the third World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships for Girls, which will be held from June 18 to 22 at Arena Sofia

The event program has been published on the website of the host hall. It is reported that the draw determining the order of the competition provides that the first routine with hoop in the individual qualification program will be performed by a gymnast from Cyprus. A routine with hoop will follow by a competitor from Uzbekistan. The Bulgarian team will start in the second group, at number 5 with a routine with hoop. Also in Group B are the teams of Romania, China, Azerbaijan, etc.

This competition is a great opportunity to witness “stars of the future” on the home podium. Many of these competitors may even compete at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation points out, adding that this is a sign of the growing popularity of the sport worldwide.

A total of 72 countries have registered to send gymnasts to the third World Championships for Girls. This means that they are 11 more than in the second edition of the championship in 2023.
