''Europe needs courageous leaders who can make difficult but strategic decisions'', National Assembly Speaker Natalia Kiselova said during the Green Transition Forum in Sofia, reported BTA.

She called on the Balkan countries to be drivers of ideas and development rather than tension and emphasized that Europe is facing geoeconomic turbulence, tensions in global trade and intense technological competition with the USA and China. ''Europe has a unique pride – our social states. This is an extremely valuable achievement and an advantage of the European social and economic model. We must preserve and develop it'', Natalia Kiselova pointed out.

Sofia is hosting the Green Transition Forum until June 20.
