Bulgaria keeps its position as a producer of high-quality grain

A national event in the village of Tsar-Petrovo near Vidin has officially launched the 2025 grain harvest campaign. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Food Ivan Kapitanov and Yanislav Yanchev.

"This year, the forecasts are for good-quality wheat harvest. The expected yields are over 6 million tons, and for barley - about 900 thousand tons," Yanchev said. He added that the country keeps a stable position as a producer of high-quality grain.

Regarding the import of grain from Ukraine, Yanchev said that the ministry maintains a constant dialogue with the sector. According to him, the analyses show that the market situation in this regard is stabilizing.
