Higher education institutions are raising the issue of cybersecurity at a roundtable discussion

A roundtable discussion on 'Cybersecurity in the protection of people, education and society' is taking place in Sofia today, according to a report by BTA. The event is organised by the Council of Rectors, the Academy of the Ministry of the Interior, and the Higher School of Security and Economics.


Topics to be discussed include cybersecurity in Bulgaria, the need to update the regulatory framework in this area, and the roles of state institutions, educational institutions, higher education institutions, scientific organisations, businesses, and non-governmental organisations in protecting people, education, and society. Dr Ivan Blagoev from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will deliver the keynote speech.


Senior representatives of the legislative, executive and judicial branches will attend the event, according to the organisers.
