Culinary stars arrive in Burgas for the World Paella Cup

On June 21 and 22, the Expo Center "Flora" in the Sea Garden in Burgas will turn into a culinary arena, where the best paella masters from all over Bulgaria will face each other in the national qualifications for the World Paella Day Cup. There are also two foreigners among the participants.

All of them must prepare an original recipe for the Spanish dish, with the choice of products and the preparation technology being part of the secrets of each participant. The event will determine who will represent Bulgaria at the world finals in Valencia in September.

In 2024, Bulgaria was represented at the final by Nikolay Todorov-Nik. This year, he is the organizer of the upcoming show in Burgas, part of the even larger festival of Spanish music, culture and cuisine "SOLE". Admission is free.
Participants will be judged by an international jury, whose members are from Spain, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Bulgaria, Canada, Russia, and the Philippines. They will participate in the SOLE festival with numerous culinary demonstrations and presentations, for which pre-registration is required.
