Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov has proposed the establishment of wartime command centres for state institutions. A draft decree from the Council of Ministers on this matter has been published for public consultation.

The initiative aims to ensure that relevant state bodies can function effectively and carry out their tasks during wartime.

According to the draft document, designating command centres for state institutions aligns with NATO's core civil preparedness requirements, as adopted by the Civil Emergency Planning Committee. Specifically, it supports efforts to ensure the continuity of government operations during times of crisis.
