The leader of Vazrazhdane party, Kostadin Kostadinov, said in parliament that the state budget was in the red and the expected profits from the Schengen membership were gone. According to Kostadinov, the additional revenues should amount to 100-150 million euros, but so far the Ministry of Finance has not prepared the information requested by Vazrazhdane. According to Kostadinov, at the moment the budget not only has no revenues, but is in the red and that is why the mandatory reports on the implementation of the budget are delayed every month.

Regarding the increase in armaments spending, Kostadinov pointed out that Vazrazhdane does not deny the need to rearm the Bulgarian army and to increase the funds for financing but on the condition that Bulgaria produces and organizes its own military supplies at a basic level.
