Winners of the BNR Essay Contest from Ukraine and Moldova announced

A seven-person jury selected the winners of the BNR essay contest for students from Ukraine and Moldova. The contest was held under the patronage of Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Yotova and was supported by the Ministry of Education.

Students aged 11–19 took part, and the jury was chaired by Acad. Vladimir Zarev. Famous writer Zdravka Evtimova was also among the panel. Zarev highlighted the children’s deep respect and love for Bulgaria and its history.

The first prize, a week-long visit to Bulgaria and a future internship at BNR, went to 17-year-old Kseniya Decheva from the Theoretical Lyceum “Olympi Panov” in Taraclia, Moldova.

In the younger category, the winners were:
Evgeniya Nankova (14), Ukraine
Reneta Ivanova (17), Ukraine
Darya Kara (13), Ukraine;
Maksim Dimov (17), Ukraine.
They will also be visiting Bulgaria for a week.

Rostislav Dechenko (19), Ukraine, was awarded an internship opportunity.

Dimitar Stankov (15), Maria Dede (12) and Arina Volinets (12) received encouragement prizes.
