The Tvarditsa and the Church Rock Festival at the Zhrebchevo Reservoir kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. and will continue through the night.

Organised once again by the Municipality of Tvarditsa, the event coincides with the celebration of July Morning, BTA reported.

It is also an occasion to draw attention to the unique Church of St. Ivan Rilski, the only remnant of the village of Zapalnia, which was submerged when the reservoir was built in 1965.

Famous Bulgarian rock bands, including B.T.R., Kanela and Fandango, will perform on the stage next to the 'Sunken Church'.
