The Prime Minister said this to journalists in Razlog ahead of tomorrow's European Parliament decision on the country's eurozone membership. Following the European Parliament vote, a final vote will take place in the EU Council in ECOFIN format. This will be followed by the formal signing of the three legal acts necessary for Bulgaria to adopt the euro on 1 January 2026.
A large-scale information campaign will begin in August, alongside intensive work by state institutions to prevent fraud and speculation in connection with Bulgaria's transition to the euro.
