"You are the best ambassadors of Bulgaria, of the Bulgarian language and culture around the world, the most successful representatives of cultural diplomacy", Vice President Iliana Iotova told the participants in the 62nd Summer Seminar of Bulgarian Language and Culture for Foreign Scholars and Students at Sofia University. "I am happy that today, in the Aula of the oldest Bulgarian university, representatives of so many countries do not need an interpreter and speak in the beautiful Bulgarian language", added Iliana Iotova.

More than 80 students, lecturers and translators from 26 countries are participating in this year's edition of the seminar.

Vice President Iotova congratulated the organizers for the rich program of the seminar. "The Summer Seminar of Bulgarian Language and Culture for Foreign Scholars and Students is dedicated to memory and the future. Memory that intersects with the present, tells about the past and points to the future – the development of the Bulgarian language, the new trends in contemporary Bulgarian culture and literature, with authors enjoying broad international recognition", Iliana Iotova said.
