Friday will be mostly sunny with isolated showers in the far southeastern areas

Powerful cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop overnight into Friday over Central and Eastern Bulgaria. There will be intense brief rain showers, thunderstorms and hail. It will be mostly sunny on Friday. Isolated showers are expected in the far southeastern areas. There will be a moderate to temporarily strong westerly and northwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures will range between 27°C and 32°C, around 26°C in Sofia.

In the mountains, the morning will be mostly sunny, with temporary increases in cloudiness, especially over the Rhodope Mountains, where isolated showers may occur. There will be a moderate to temporarily strong westerly and northwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 22°C, at 2,000 meters about 15°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, there will be considerable cloudiness in the morning, with short-term rain showers in some places. In the afternoon, clouds will decrease, giving way to mostly sunny weather. There will be a moderate northwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures will range between 27°C and 30°C. The seawater temperature is between 25°C and 27°C. Sea state 1–2 on the Beaufort scale.
