The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) has requested information from the Ministry of Energy in connection with proceedings aimed at identifying possible violations of national and European competition law by Lukoil Neftochim Burgas and Lukoil-Bulgaria, the regulator announced.

CPC initiated proceedings following reports from 2024 and 2025 alleging deliberate restrictions on the import and wholesale trade of fuels in the country. The investigation examines the commercial policies and behavior of companies within the Lukoil Group in the vertically related markets for the sale of gasoline and diesel fuel.
