Those detained for committing arson will be tried for terrorism, announced Interior Ministry Secretary General Miroslav Rashkov. He noted that individuals have been detained in connection with two fire incidents that occurred on Sunday in the towns of Sliven and Veliko Tarnovo.

"The situation is critical, and in moments like these, human errors and our conscience play a huge role", added Miroslav Rashkov.

On Sunday, the Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo, Daniel Panov, shared a video on his Facebook profile showing a man deliberately setting a fire between the ''Buzludzha'' and ''Cholakovtsi'' residential districts. The individual in question has a criminal record and two prior convictions.
