The State Agency for Refugees at the Council of Ministers is launching a pilot project for Bulgaria and the EU – creating alternative social services for unaccompanied refugee children, the agency’s press service has announced.
“Four municipalities are partners in this project – Burgas, Ivaylovgrad, Malko Tarnovo and Tundzha, as well as the Mission of the International Organization for Migration and UNICEF Bulgaria,” the press release reads. The services include specialized care for unaccompanied refugee children providing quality living conditions.
The project will be presented on 29 July in the Council of Ministers’ Granite Hall to representatives of the government and the European Commission, international organizations and government authorities, the National Association of Municipalities etc.
