August begins with warmer weather and rain showers in the mountainous areas

On Friday, the lowest temperatures will range from 14°C to 22°C, 16°C in Sofia. During the day, it will be mostly sunny over the northwestern and far eastern parts of the country. Cloud cover will be significant in the rest of the country and rain will continue in many areas. In the evening, clouds will decrease everywhere. Maximum temperatures will be between 27°C and 32°C, around 28°C in the capital city.

It will be mostly sunny along the Black Sea coast. There will be a moderate easterly and-northeasterly wind. Daytime highs will be between 27°C and 29°C. The sea water temperature is 25–27°C. Sea state 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.

It will be mostly cloudy in the mountains. Rain is expected in many places in the Rila-Rhodope region, as well as in the Central and Eastern Balkan Mountains. There will be a light to moderate northerly wind. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be around 22°C, at 2,000 m around 14°C.

It will be sunny on Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in some mountainous areas in Southwestern Bulgaria in the afternoon. Temperatures will be one or two degrees higher.
