In the village of Slaveyno near Smolyan, the Union of Thracian Societies in Bulgaria is organizing a National Gathering-Pilgrimage on August 2 and 3. The festival is dedicated to the 122nd anniversary of the Ilinden–Preobrazhenie Uprising and the 145th anniversary of the birth of flag-bearer Kolyo Shishmanov. The pilgrimage begins on August 2, with a memorial service in the church "St. Prophet Elijah" in memory of those who died in the uprising.

After the service, residents and guests of Slaveyno, which has gone down in history with the names of revolutionaries and notable participants in the uprising, will recall the memorable events of the uprising at a solemn rally. The celebrations continue with a concert and fireworks. On August 3, wreaths and flowers will be laid at the graves of Peyo and Kolyo Shishmanov and at the monument in the Haidushki Polyani area.
