The Holy Trinity church in Madison is hosting its sixth annual Bulgarian festival

The Holy Trinity Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Madison, Illinois, is hosting the Sixth Annual Bulgarian Festival and invites the local Bulgarian community to join in the celebration. The event will take place on Sunday, September 28, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., both in the churchyard and on the surrounding street, according to eurochicago.com.

“With God’s help, we will once again gather as a community to celebrate our Bulgarian heritage and culture, sharing it with friends and neighbors in this new land we now call home. The festival will feature traditional homemade Bulgarian food, folk dances and music, a book market, and games and entertainment for children. The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with morning worship and prayers—in both Bulgarian and English—for God’s protection over our parish, our Orthodox brothers and sisters in the St. Louis area, and the entire Bulgarian community,” the church said.
