The followers of the Bulgarian spiritual teacher Beinsa Duno (Peter Deunov), known as the White Brotherhood, welcome the Divine New Year on August 19th – the Transfiguration of the Lord in the old style – at the Seven Rila Lakes.

"This central event in Christianity is associated with change and new hope," they explain on the organization's website.

For three days - the 19th, 20th and 21st, the followers of Petar Dunov will welcome together the new beginning, associated with the rising sun of the human spirit. The Paneurhythmy dance, traditional for the teachings, begins at 10:00 a.m. on August 19th at Lake Babreka (The Kidney lake).
For the first time, such an event was organized by Petar Deunov (1864–1944) near the Seven Rila Lakes in the summer of 1929. Deunov's teachings, which have followers all over the world, unite Christian spirituality and esoteric wisdom, preaching love, wisdom and truth as a path to harmony with God, nature and humanity.

The "brotherhood" he created is called "white", with white being a symbol of purity, light and divine wisdom. During the Paneurhythmy (a dance symbolizing the harmony between man, nature and the cosmos), Deunov's followers are dressed entirely in white clothes.
