The twenty-ninth national plein air in fine arts “Creator and Nature” will take place in the village of Vetren on the banks of the Danube from August 22 to 28, the organizers from the local Association of Artists and the Municipality of Silistra told BTA.
Artists in the fields of painting, sculpture, graphics and drawing will participate in the event – all of them prominent authors with proven creative achievements at the regional, national and international level.
“The artists will use various techniques with pastels, pencils, chalk, with an emphasis on oil painting. There are many beauties of the Danube village of Vetren and perhaps the best way to reveal and show them is through the artistic works,” Stefan Penchev, chairman of the Association of Artists in Silistra, said.
Traditionally, the works from the plein air will be shown in an exhibition that will open on August 23 at the Art Gallery in the town.
