On the occasion of International Dog Day, various events have been organized in Sofia, BTA reported.

At Vasil Levski Airport – Sofia, in the “Departing Passengers” lounge of Terminal 2, the therapist dog Smiley and his handler Antonia Rikova will reveal useful information about traveling with pets. The organizers from the “Four Paws” Foundation will also present information about the “Animals Help People” project and the mission of therapy dogs. Activities for children are also planned.

The children's department of the Metropolitan Library is organizing a “Slippers Day”, to which children are invited with their pets to celebrate World Dog Day together. Various retail outlets in Sofia will also have events with a charitable cause dedicated to dogs.
