Burgas-Sofia train derailed, no injuries reported

At 9 AM today, as it was pulling out of Kalitinovo railway station, the first carriage of the Burgas-Sofia express train was derailed. No passengers or railway staff have been reported injured. Only the first wagon bogie was derailed, the Ministry of Transport says.

Two emergency teams were dispatched immediately. More than 80 passengers have been transported from the site by bus. An investigation into the causes of the incident is ongoing.
