First success for Bulgaria at the US Open among girls

Bulgarian tennis player Yoana Konstantinova and Reina Goto from Japan defeated Chinese Wei and Japanese Yoshida 7:5, 6:1 in the first round of the doubles tournament at the US Open. This is also the first success for Bulgaria among girls at the tournament. 

In the round of 16, the 18-year-old tennis player from Pleven and her partner will face the winners of the match between Elizara Yaneva and Ksenia Efremova (France) and the Germans Beneman and Zhenikhova.

In the singles, both Konstantinova and Yaneva were eliminated in the first round.
