Six medals for Bulgaria at the European Taekwondo Championship in Niš

In the competition with nearly 2,000 athletes, at the Multi-European Taekwondo Championship in Niš (Serbia), Bulgarian competitors won three gold and three bronze medals, and Viktoria Ivanova was chosen as the best referee.


In the men's category up to 68 kg, Stefan Stamenov took the title after four consecutive victories and not a single lost round.

Vesselina Angelova and Atanas Vakuvchiev won gold medals in the cadets. In the category up to 51 kg, Angelova triumphed with five consecutive victories, and Vakuvchiev in the 53 kg category played four matches on the way to first place.

Ivaylo Petrov, Viktor Vangelov and Kosara Ivanova won bronze medals in the cadets.
