Welcome to Bulgaria Today, the English-language podcast of Radio Bulgaria, on 8 September hosted by Rositsa Petkova and Kostadin Atanasov.

This Monday, September 8, is part of a long weekend dedicated to Bulgaria’s Unification Day on September 6.

So we will offer you a little bit of a different programme, we leave the news for our website only today and we bring you more about interesting places to visit in this country, interviews and music.

First, we talk to renowned Bulgarian pianist and piano teacher Rositza Banova who has been teaching the USA and Asia for almost three decades now and who says she believes in Bulgaria’s wonderful future. Stay to learn why!

Next, we explore lesser-known destinations in Bulgaria and we take you first to the village of Medven near the town of Kotel and its wooden houses that have stood the test of time, and also we will go in the footsteps of medieval monks and the hidden face of the Ivanovo Rock monastery close to Ruse.

Bulgarian music will be coming at the end with the new son of young singer-songwriter Severin Georgiev.
