Veliko Tarnovo University is hosting the second organisational and methodological seminar for lecturers of Bulgarian language, literature, and culture at universities abroad. The university reported on Facebook that Bulgaria’s Vice President, Iliana Iotova, attended the forum’s opening ceremony as the official guest.
The seminar aims to develop and promote Bulgarian studies abroad, bringing together representatives from Bulgarian universities and institutions with lecturers from higher education institutions around the world.
In her welcome address, Associate Professor Dr Anna Ivanova, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at Veliko Tarnovo University, highlighted the crucial role of lecturers as ambassadors of Bulgarian culture abroad.
Participants include Bulgarian lecturers specialising in language and culture who work in universities across Portugal, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Romania, Greece, Ireland, Croatia, Georgia, the United States, Italy, Albania, Kosovo, Poland, North Macedonia, and Hungary, along with online participants from Azerbaijan, France, Germany, and Italy.
