From 12 September to 5 November 2025, the central building of the Regional History Museum in Pazardzhik will host the digital photo exhibition Bessarabia - A Source of Beauty and Patriotism, presented by the Society for Relations with Bessarabian and Taurian Bulgarians Rodolyubets in Sofia.

The exhibition explores the spiritual connection between Bulgarian communities abroad and their homeland through images, sound and words. It will present portraits of Bulgarians from Bessarabia, photographed by Assen Velikov and curated by Natalie Petrova.

The visual impact is complemented by poetry from contemporary Bessarabian and Taurian Bulgarian authors. Despite growing up in a foreign language environment and not learning the language of their ancestors, each author has found their own personal, powerful and emotional connection to Bulgarian literature. The poems will be recited by actors from the Odessa Bulgarian Drama Theatre, adding extra depth and theatrical emotion to the exhibition.
