National Guard Service will no longer provide transportation for the presidential administration

The National Guard Service (NSO) will no longer provide transportation for the presidential administration. This is provided for by the amendments to the Law on the National Security Service adopted at first reading with the votes of GERB-SDF, “DPS-New Beginning”, BSP and “There is Such a People”, BNR reporter Maria Fileva reported.

“The presidential institution is the only one with an administration that is served by the National Guard Service employees. It is high time to put an end to this unjustified privilege”, said the submitter from “DPS – New Beginning” Kalin Stoyanov.

According to the opposition, this is an attempt to humiliate the presidential institution. Vazrazhdane party recalled that it does not have official cars provided, and Ivaylo Mirchev from PP-DB warned that between the first and second readings the coalition will submit a proposal to limit NSO transportation for everyone except the prime minister, the president and the speaker of the National Assembly.

"We will submit a proposal to remove Delyan Peevski's NSO, because he himself said today that he does not need security," the MP added.
