From September 19, for a month, the sky over the popular Belogradchik Rocks in northwestern Bulgaria will be filled with colorful balloons and magic. The fifth edition of the “Balloon Fiesta” promises five weekends, three types of flights, as well as dozens of adventures on the “Fairground” meadow, located just four minutes from the city center.
The maximum flying altitude will be up to 2,000 m above sea level.

The Balloon Fiesta will last a whole month for the first time due to the great interest.

“Our entire team of 15 people is seriously engaged and at maximum workload with the execution of the ascent of a total of five balloons,” organizer Evtim Stefanov told BTA.

According to him, there is interest in the event from all over Europe. “We expect an Australian to join, who has learned about this unique place. The Belogradchik Rocks and the region enchant everyone who visits it and comes to fly,” he added.

Expect more details about the festival in the coming days on the Radio Bulgaria website.
