The Garlic Festival will be held on September 21 and 22 at the stadium in the village of Dolni Rakovets, Radomir Municipality, Pernik Region. The event presents the traditional production of Dolni Rakovets garlic.

Due to the favorable soil and climatic conditions, the best garlic (with large heads) in Bulgaria is produced in Dolni Rakovets.

Extremely tasty and long-lasting, the offered product is a source of pride for the locals, who eat it morning, noon, and evening, the village website assures us.

Music, dances, authentic cuisine and a colorful farmers' market with the participation of producers of garlic, honey, dairy products, and local delicacies await the guests of the festival.

In addition to garlic, Dolni Rakovets is also famous for its mineral water. 50 - 60 m. east of the last houses of the village, mineral water with a temperature of 32 - 34 degrees gushes from 9 springs. The warm water comes from a depth of about 600 - 700m. It has a high content of carbonates (limestone) and helps with a number of diseases.
