Bulgarian parliamentary delegation visits Japan

Japanese musician and actor Hiromitsu Kitayama will be nominated as Bulgaria's Goodwill Ambassador to Japan

A Bulgarian parliamentary delegation led by Raya Nazarian, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Chair of the Bulgaria-Japan Friendship Group, is visiting Japan at the invitation of Fukushiro Nukaga, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament — the Diet. The delegation includes MPs Denitsa Nikolova (GERB-SDS), Daniel Lorrer (PP-DB), Maya Dimitrova (BSP – United Left) and Toshko Yordanov (ITN).


In addition to talks in the Japanese Parliament, meetings are also planned with Japan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisayuki Fujii, and Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Masaki Ogushi.


The Bulgarian parliamentary delegation will attend the ceremony to nominate popular Japanese musician and actor Hiromitsu Kitayama as Bulgaria's Goodwill Ambassador to Japan. The Bulgarian MPs will visit the Bulgarian pavilion at EXPO Osaka 2025, where they will meet with representatives of the Bulgarian community.
